M. Tennis Opens with Georgia Tech at ACC Championships

No. 8 seed NC State men's tennis (11-13, 4-7 ACC) will face No. 9 seed Georgia Tech (13-11, 3-8 ACC) in the first quarterfinal of the ACC Championships. The match will go off at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
The winner of the match will advance to face No. 1 seed Virginia on Friday, April 18 at 9 a.m.
NC State has had one of the unluckiest seasons in school history, losing eight of its 13 matches by a score of 4-3, with most coming down to the final match on court.
The Pack, behind head coach Jon Choboy, had better luck against Georgia Tech this season, winning, 6-1, over the Yellow Jackets on March 28 by sweeping all six singles matches for the sixth time during the season.
