CARY, N.C. The final game of NC State’s three-game Atlantic Coast Conference series with third-ranked North Carolina has been cancelled because of inclement weather. The two teams split the first two games of the series. Because of ACC rules, Sunday’s game will not be made up.
North Carolina won the first game of the series 5-2 behind sophomore righthander Alex White. The Wolfpack rebounded Saturday, rallying from a 6-2 deficit to score three runs in the seventh and eighth innings to take an 8-6 decision.
NC State will return to action on Tuesday at East Carolina. Game time is 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on WKNC-FM (88.1) and will be available on the internet on gopack.com through Pack Pass.
