M. Track & Field Heads to Pair of Meets

The NC State men's track and field team will compete at two venues this Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Virginia Tech Elite meet and the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. Thirteen men will head to Blacksburg, Va., while eight runners will make the trip to the Armory in New York.
Dexter Adams leads the contingent to the Virginia Tech Elite meet, as he is currently second in the ACC in the long jump.
A'Tolani Akinkuotu and Reggie Reese are 4th and 5th, respectively, in the 60 meter dash in the ACC.
Travis Weston is 10th in the triple jump with a mark of 46'01.25".
A trio of throwers will compete in Blacksburg, Va., as well, including Jason Jones. Jones is third in the ACC in the shot put and fifth in the weight throw. Adam Gray is seventh and Kent Dickens ninth in the weight throw.
Eight distance runners comprise the team headed to the Armory, with Eric Mack and Geoff King the only two who have competed so far this season. Making their 2008 indoor debuts are Stephen Furst, Chriss Kollar, Travis Martinez, Robert Moldovan, Tibor Vegh and Gavin Coombs.
