Akinkuotu, Reese Lead M. Track & Field at VT Challenge

Sprinter A'Tolani Akinkuotu ran a 6.71 in the finals of the 60m dash to finish second after leading the prelims with a 6.72. Reggie Reese matched his career-high with a 6.80 for a fifth place finish in the 60m dash, and lowered his team-leading time in the 200m with a 21.71 for fifth. His 21.71 was an indoor record for Reese in the 200m.

Dexter Adams set a new career-high with a 6.99 in the 60m dash and also finished third in his signature event, the long jump. His mark of 24'02.50" had him in the top-3, the sixth time in six attempts that he finished in the top-4, including four wins.
