Swimming & Diving Continues Competition at ACC's

ATLANTA, Ga. NC State stands in 10th place with 67 total points following the second day of the ACC women’s swimming and men’s and women’s diving championships.
Chelsea Ale placed 10th overall and netted the Pack seven points with a 244.50 score in the 1-meter dive. Kristin Davies finished 15th with a 232.25.
Anna Linkenauger posted State’s best showing and barely missed scoring in the 200-IM, taking 17th with a 2:04.79. Jen Kopenitz was close behind thanks to a 2:05.47, good for 20th. Kayla Ricedorf placed 28th in the prelims on a 2:08.72, while Kathryn Creech (2:10.93) and Jessica Stewart (2:13.96) offered showings.
In the 50-free Ashley Richter took 31st on a 23.97, and Nancy Randloff finished 45th with a 24.40. Patrice Dason (24.45), Erica Smith (24.54), Lucy Lindsey (24.79) and Amanda Panty (25.00) also competed.
The Wolfpack relay of Radloff, Dason, Smith and Lindsey took 10th overall in the 200-freestyle relay, swimming a collective 1:36.22.
Maresa Like-Mathews placed 36th in the 500-free with a 5:07.80, and Taryn Shelly took 37th on a 5:08.79.
Competition at the ACC women’s swimming and men’s and women’s diving championships will continue tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 22. Finals will be held in the 400-IM, 100-fly, 200-free, 100-breast, 100-back, 400-medley relay and 3-meter dive (women’s only).
