No. 44 W. Tennis to Host Pair of Ranked Foes

The No. 44 NC State women’s tennis team will return to action this weekend as it hosts No. 24 Arkansas (4-3) and No. 60 SMU (6-0) at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack will face SMU on Saturday at 12 pm and Arkansas on Sunday at 1 pm. The team will also be giving away "Game. Set. PACK" t-shirts during the matches.
The Pack (3-1) is coming off a weekend where it beat No. 51 Marshall but fell to No. 64 Minnesota.
Leading the way for the Pack has been Daria Petrovic who is ranked No. 79 in the nation and Berkley Brock who is No. 97 in the latest rankings. Catherine Grotz is a perfect 4-0 in singles this year playing at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6. The Wolfpack have been tremendous in doubles this season winning the doubles point in every match. The tandem of Lenka Hojckova and Julia Roach has won all four of their matches so far this season.
Various prizes will be handed out during the two matches. Also a trivia challenge will occur during the match against SMU.
Arkansas is led by the No. 1 ranked player in the nation, Aurelija Miseviciute. Miseviciute joins teammate Ela Kaluder to form the No. 12 doubles team in the nation. Also ranked in doubles are Maryori Franco and Nanar Airapetian who come in at No. 45 in the rankings.
SMU is a perfect 6-0 on the season including a 7-0 win over No. 61 Oklahoma State. They have three players who are undefeated this season in singles and their top two doubles teams are each 4-1 on the young season.
