Blackmon Hits Second NCAA Provisional Mark in Mile

Angelina Blackmon ran for a career-best and NCAA provisional mark in the mile for the second straight week for the NC State women's track and field team. Her time of 4:43.84 at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas is the fastest in the ACC this season and makes her the fourth fastest in school history in the mile.
Blackmon shaved nearly four seconds off of her previous best from last weekend, a 4:47.50. Her 4:43.82 this week was the best time in the ACC this season and the fourth fastest in school history.
Brittany Tinsley and DeMiracle Washington will compete on Saturday at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas. In addition, 14 women's will compete in Chapel Hill on Saturday in split squad action.
