W. Tennis Wraps Up at Kitty Harrison

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team wrapped up the final day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Sunday, Nov. 9, with four singles wins over players from UNC Greensboro. The Pack also competed in doubles play to wrap up the fall tournament season.
Sophomore Lenka Hojckova took down Arielle VonStrolley, 6-2, 7-5, and senior Neils Barringer defeated Valerie Behr, 6-3, 6-4. Freshman Diana Mortlock swept Courtney Akel, 6-0, 6-0, and freshman Pender Sessoms beat Taylor Mattox, 6-3, 6-1. Junior Berkeley Brock fell to Alejandra Guerra, 6-4, 6-3.
NC State took on North Carolina in doubles play on the final day of the tournament. Brock and Mortlock fell to Katrina Tsang and Shinann Featherston, 8-5. Hojckova and Barringer lost to Meg Fanjoy and Laura Reichert, 8-5.
The Wolfpack will begin the spring season on Friday, Jan. 16 with a match-up against Elon in Raleigh, N.C.
