Women's Tennis Completes Day Two of Kitty Harrison Invite

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The women's tennis team took on the College of Charleston in doubles and Georgia Tech in singles on the second day of the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Saturday, Nov. 8.
In singles play, sophomore Lenka Hojckova defeated Noelle Hickey 7-6, 2-6, 1-0(6), and freshman Diana Mortlock took down Hilary Davis, 6-3, 6-4. Senior Neils Barringer lost to Christina Ngo, 6-3, 6-3, and junior Berkeley Brock fell to Christy Striplin, 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Pender Sessoms lost to Lynn Blau, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles competition, Brock and Hojckova defeated Laura Borza and Kinsey Casey, 8-4, and Barringer and Sessoms took down Caroline Newman and Anna Lee Evans, 8-4. Mortlock teamed up with Kelly Stewart from Princeton to defeat Holly Dowse and Keely Mulligan, 8-2.
