Two Pack Golfers In Position for FUTURES Tour

LAKELAND, Fla. NC State alum Molly Birmingham and current senior Lauren Doughtie are currently tied for fourth and 11th respectively through three rounds of qualifying for the Duramed FUTURES Tour.
The annual Q-school is a four-day event that wraps up Friday at Cleveland Heights Golf Course. Golfers will tee of beginning at 7:30 a.m., off the first and 10th tees.
Birmingham will play in the final foursome of the day at 9:20 a.m., while Doughtie is in the fourth to last group beginning at 8:50 a.m.
Birmingham, who played for the Pack from 2002-06, has compiled a 54-hole score of 5 (70-71-70=211).
Doughtie, No. 58 in the latest Golfweek rankings, is at 1 (75-69-71=215).
A total of 94 players made the cut, which was trimmed down from over 300 players that began the even on Tuesday.
Now in its 28th season, the Duramed FUTURES Tour has established itself as “the Road to the LPGA and Beyond,” and since 1999, it has been designated as the official developmental tour of the LPGA.
