Women's Tennis To Wrap Up Fall In Chapel Hill

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State women’s tennis team will close out its fall season this weekend with a tournament in Chapel Hill, N.C. Five Wolfpack players will compete in the competition hosted by the University of North Carolina. Senior Neils Barringer, junior Berkeley Brock, sophomore Lenka Hojckova, and freshmen Diana Mortlock and Pender Sessoms will all compete in the event that begins Friday, Nov. 7, and will finish on Sunday, Nov. 9.
This is the sixth tournament the Pack players have competed in this fall. Mortlock defeated three opponents to take top honors in singles in the Landfall Invitational in Wilmington, N.C., and she and Barringer also won their doubles bracket at the same event. At the ITA Regional Championship, Brock and Hojckova had a strong doubles showing, defeating five straight doubles matches, but fell in the final match.
