Desbois Named NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete

RALEIGH, N.C. NC State softball third baseman Bridget Desbois has been named a girls got game/National Fastpich Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athlete as announced by the NFCA on Monday, Nov. 3.
A sophomore from McLean, Va., Desbois holds a 3.51 GPA in biological sciences. She competed in 31 games with 24 starts and drove in four runs last year in her debut season with the Wolfpack.
Desbois is the second player in program history to earn an academic All-America award. Heather Gelbard picked up ESPN The Magazine/CoSida Academic All-America honors in 2005.
