Women's Golf Places Tied for 13th at Tar Heel Invite

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. The NC State women’s golf team finished tied for 13th at the Tar Heel Invitational after Sunday’s final round +25 (313) at UNC Finley Golf Course.
The Wolfpack finished with a team score of +64 (312-302-313=927).
Senior Lauren Doughtie shot a four-over 76 on Saturday to finish tied for 24th at +10 (78-72-76=226). The Suffolk, Va., native had a pair of birdies on her round.
Junior Joanna Saleeby posted a final round 80 today to finish tied for 43rd overall at +15 (79-72-80=231).
Freshman Meghan Chapman shot an 81 to finish tied for 65th at +22 (74-83-81=238). She had one birdie to highlight her round today.
Emily Street shot an 81 today and finished tied for 65th at +22 (81-76-81=238). She had one birdie today to offset a pair of double bogeys.
Julie Saleeby had her best round of the weekend with a four-over 76 and placed in a tie for 70th at +23 (81-82-76=239). It was in auspicious start for Saleeby, beginning at No. 12, with a triple at the par-4 15th hole, but was able to shoot even-par the rest of the way. She came up with a pair of birdies in a four-hole stretch in the later stages of the round.
Wake Forest (876) cruised to a two-stroke victory over North Carolina (888), while Vanderbilt finished third at 892. Wake Forest’s Jean Chua and Natalie Sheary and UNC’s Catherine O’Donnell all tied for top individual honors at even-par (216).
The Pack is right back in action next weekend at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
