Men's Tennis Wraps Up Prequalifying Singles

TULSA, Okla. - Seniors Derek Stephens and Christian Welte fell in the final round of the prequalifying singles at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., on Sunday, Oct. 5. The NC State men's tennis team is not done yet at the tournament, as senior Jay Weinacker will begin his matches in the qualifying singles on Oct. 6, and he and Welte will compete in the qualifying doubles round on Oct. 7.

Welte fell to Kiryl Harbatsuik of Sacramento State, 6-2, 6-1. Stephens fell to Joey Burkhardt (Florida), 6-1, 6-3.
