Blair Jumps Into Lead at Bank of Tennessee @ The Ridges

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. Senior Darren Blair carded the best round of the day, and has jumped into the lead at the Bank of Tennessee @ The Ridges Tournament on Saturday afternoon. Blair shot a three-under (69) and goes into the final round with a one stroke lead over the field.
NC State has a team slipped into fifth place overall. The Pack shot a 295 in Saturday’s second round, and is at nine-over (585) through two rounds. Wake Forest was the only team to record a score of under-par in the second round, and currently lead the team standings at even-par (576).
Blair tied for the lowest round of the day with his 69, a two shot improvement from yesterday. Blair’s day featured three birdies, and he did not record a hole over par the entire second round.
After leading after the first round yesterday, sophomore Matt Hill carded a second round score of three-over (75) and is in 16th place overall (+1). Junior Brad Revell was six-over (78) on the day, and is five-over after two rounds.
A pair of NC State golfers each improved three strokes from yesterday’s first round. Sophomore Brandon Detweiler finished at three-over (75) on the day. After a front nine of 40, Detweiler shot a 35 on the final nine holes, including birdies on holes 13-15. Copeland finished at four-over (76) with a pair of birdies. Detweiler is at nine-over and Copeland is 11-over through two rounds.
The third and final round will be played tomorrow.
