No. 40 W. Tennis Hosts Davidson Friday Evening

No. 40 NC State women's tennis will host the Davidson Wildcats on Friday evening at 5 p.m. at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center. The Wolfpack (1-0) is coming off of an impressive 7-0 win over Elon in Raleigh last Sunday, while the Wildcats are playing Winthrop Thursday evening.

Sophomore Berkeley Brock won her singles match for the Pack at No. 1 against Elon and joined with sophomore Daria Petrovic at No. 1 doubles to win as well. Brock is ranked No. 97 nationally by the ITA, while Petrovic is No. 97.

Freshman Lenka Hojckova won her debut matches for the Wolfpack at No. 2 singles and at No. 2 doubles with senior Julia Roach. Roach won her match at No. 3 singles.

Junior Neils Barringer and sophomores Kristen Bleakley and Catherine Grotz combined to allow just eight games in six sets while winning their three matches in convincing fashion.

Wolfpack women's tennis t-shirts, stickers, pom-pom and more will be available to fans in the lobby and admission is free.
