Wolfpack Diving to Resume the Pose on Thursday

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State men's and women's diving teams will get an early start to competitive action in 2008, returning to work tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 3. The Wolfpack will take on diving squads from Florida State and Virginia Tech at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Ga. Action is slated to begin at 4 p.m.
State's diving squads have offered solid performances to date thus far in the season, with four student-athletes having already qualified for NCAA Diving Zones.
On the men's side, Austin Hampton has hit satisfactory marks in both the 3-meter and 1-meter, while Alex Dambly has also qualified for the 1-meter. Chelsea Ale and Kristin Davies have both qualified for the 3-meter on the women's end.
The NCAA Diving Zones will be held March 14-16 in Auburn, Ala.
Following Thursday's affair, Wolfpack swimming and diving will return to action with two events in back-to-back days at the Casey Natatorium on the the NC State campus, Friday Jan. 18 through Saturday, Jan. 19. The Pack will host Gardner-Webb on Friday at 5 p.m., before welcoming ACC-foe Clemson on Saturday at 11 a.m.
