RALEIGH, N.C. It’s been nearly two months since GoPack.com offered new photos of the ongoing construction at NC State’s brand-new softball facility. With that in mind, we are pleased to present over 30 new images taken on Friday, August 3.
Lights are up and operational, seating is in place and mostly finished, sod is taking shape and the concourse has mostly filled out. Work is still being done on the grand entrance, as well as other areas, and the batting cage area (beyond center field) is in its early stages.
The Wolfpack will occupy the third base dugout, offering the first base side for visiting teams. Bullpen areas are available, just a few steps away from each dugout.
“With the school year quickly approaching, we are more excited than ever to step foot on our brand new field,” said head coach Lisa Navas. “Progress is continuing to move along, and we are getting closer and closer to being in a position to use the facility.
“This is a great step for our team, and it shows the commitment that the university has made to establishing a top-flight softball program.”
Additional galleries will be made available on GoPack.com as construction progresses.

The stadium is slated to be ready for ball next season as the Wolfpack enters its fifth year of play.
