Hogue Qualifies for Western Amateur

Raleigh, N.C. Rising sophomore Adam Hogue shot a 4-under-par 68 on Monday to become one of 38 golfers to qualify for the 2007 Western Amateur. The field will start with approximately 260 golfers, and play now starts on Wednesday in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and the championship match is August 5.
Hogue finished alone atop the leader board on Monday at the Warren Golf Course. His round of 68 was best at the site, and just one stroke off the top score of any course on Monday in the final day of qualifying.
