Action Concludes for Men's Golf in Puerto Rico

Raleigh, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team concluded its first tournament of the spring season on Tuesday afternoon, playing the final round of the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The Wolfpack improved three strokes from yesterday’s second round, and shot a 305 today. NC State finished the tournament in 18th place at 46-over par (910).
Senior Jerry Richardson had the Pack’s top round of the day, as he shot a 2-over par (74). Sophomore Andrew Byrd finished with a 4-over (76), and classmate Wesley Tucker had his best round of the tournament at 5-over (77). Rounding out the scoring in Tuesday’s final round was sophomore Darren Blair with a 6-over (78) and senior Garry Hill had a 8-over (80).
For the three rounds, Byrd had the Pack’s best score, finishing the tournament at 8-over par.
