Men's Swimming Finishes Seventh at ACC Championships

NC State men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the ACC Championships with a seventh place showing with 258 team points. Austin Hampton (1-meter boards) and Stephen Mellor (200 IM) were both All-ACC selections for their performances at the Championship meet in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Andrew Lester swam a lifetime best of 15:35.72 at the 1650 freestyle on the final day of competition.
Mellor turned in a 1:46.84 for sixth place in the 200 backstroke as he made three finals at the ACC Championships. He previous grabbed a second place finish in the 400 IM and a fourth place showing in the 200 IM earlier this week.
Jack Roney turned in a prelims swim of 2:01.71 in the 200 breaststroke and wound up seventh in the event during the finals. His prelims swim was just off of his personal best and the fastest Wolfpack swim this season.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Mason McGee, Steve Cowling, Taylor Goodwin and Dan Glauber swam a 3:02.33 for the Wolfpack's top time on the season.
