Women's Swimming Ninth After Second Day of ACC Championships

Kerry Whitson finished 14th in the 500 freestyle to lead NC State on the second day of the ACC Championships as it stands ninth with 64 team points. Her time of 4:57.47 was a season best and the second fastest for the Wolfpack this season.
Anna Linkenauger, the team leader in the 200 IM, was 26th in the event with a time of 2:06.54, just off of her top time this season.
Natalie Swisher earned a team point for the Wolfpack in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 223.65.
Patrice Dason swam the top-time in the 50 free for NC State with a 24.57 , and Erica Smith was close behind with a 24.62, her lifetime best time.
The 200 freestyle relay team turned in a season-best time of 1:35.89 to earn 24 team points. Kerry Whitson, Martha Marino, Patrice Dason and Lucy Lindsey turned in the seventh best performance in the event at the Championships.
In men's diving action, Austin Hampton narrowly missed scoring, as he finished ninth in the 3-meter with a 325.60.
