NCSU Women's Swimming Eighth at ACC Championships

NC State women's swimming and diving is in eighth place with 36 team points after the opening day of the ACC Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. The opening day consisted of two relays, the 800 free and the 200 medley relay. NC State finished eighth in the 800 free and 10th in the 200 medley.
Kerry Whitson got the 800 free relay off to a great start with a strong leadoff swim, posting a 1:50.23, her top-time this season and just off her personal best. The relay posted a time of 7:34.07, and Patrice Dason, Lindsay Barwegen and Lucy Lindsey swam the other legs for NC State.
The 200 medley team came in with a 1:47.79, as Erica Smith, Jessica Stewart, Victoria Niemeyer and Whitson swimming for the Wolfpack.
