M. Tennis Sends Trio to Alabama Fall Tournament

NC State men's tennis will send three student-athletes to Tuscaloosa, Ala. Friday through Sunday, Oct. 26-28, for the Alabama Fall Tournament. Junior Christian Welte and freshmen Rob Lowe and Eric Turner will compete in the three-day tournament for the Pack.
Welte enters the tournament with a 4-4 fall mark in singles in three tournaments so far. He won three straight over the Southern Intercollegiate and the ITA Regional Championships recently.
Lowe has had a solid fall, competing in two tournaments and posting a 3-2 record, including a pair of wins at the UNC Wilmington Landfall Classic, the first collegiate matches of his career.
Turner has won three singles matches in two tournaments this fall and will team with a Mississippi State player in doubles this weekend.
Welte and Lowe will join forces to compete in doubles this season, the first time they have played together on the season. Welte has a 3-2 record while playing with junior Derek Stephens. Lowe is also 3-2 in doubles after competing with Frideric Prandecki earlier this fall.
