Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at Shoal Creek Intercollegiate

Raleigh, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team placed eighth at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate, played in Birmingham, Ala. On Monday and Tuesday. After the Pack shot scores of 296 and 295 in Monday’s rounds, NC State fired a 305 in the final round and closed out the tournament on Tuesday.
Senior Jerry Richardson was the top performer for NC State for this second tournament of the school year. Richardson finished at 6-over par, after shooting a 78 in the final round.
Andrew Byrd was close behind for NC State, finishing at 6-over par after a 75 on Tuesday. Also shooting a 75 on Tuesday was Nathan Spoon, who finished at 10-over par.
Freshman Adam Hague shot a 77 on Tuesday, while Darren Blair fired a 78 to round out the scoring.
