NC State Concludes Play at St. Mary's Classic

NC State used a strong mix of veterans and the heady play of a trio of freshmen to wrap up the final day of the St. Mary's Classic in
Daria Petrovic finished third in singles flight one in her first collegiate matches.
Julia Roach finished seventh in singles flight two with a straight set win in the consolation bracket, 6-2, 6-3.
Alejandra Guerra lost in the consolation final of singles flight three, 2 and 1.
Niels Barringer finished fourth after falling in her final consolation match, 2 and 4.
Berkley Brock rebounded after an opening round loss in singles flight four, winning two straight matches to win the consolation final. In both wins she allowed her opponent to win two or less games in each of the four sets.
Kristin Bleakley advanced to the consolation final of singles flight five, but fell in a tough three setter after winning the opening set, 6-4. She would lose the second set in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (5), and then lose the final set, 6-2. Agustina Arechavaleta finished seventh in the same bracket with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Allison Barry took the opening set of her consolation final, 6-3, before falling 6-2, 7-5 in the final two sets.
Petrovic and Roach finished second in the consolation final of double flight two, losing 8-4 in the final.
Allison Barry and Arechavaleta won the consolation bracket in the third doubles flight, while Bleakley/Barringer finished third in the same bracket.
