Raleigh, N.C. - Construction on the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium, the soon-to-be new home of Wolfpack softball, began on Wednesday, Aug. 2, on the NC State campus. Cranes and construction trucks filtered into Paul Deer Track to begin the initial steps of the highly anticipated project. The project is estimated to take 270 days to be completed.
The new softball complex will be located on the heart of the NC State campus, off of Cates Avenue and Morrill Drive, allowing easier access to games for students, faculty and staff, and fans of the program. The stadium will allow approximately 500 seats for Wolfpack fans. Essential program amenities include batting cages, lighting for night games, pitcher and catcher areas, dugouts, concessions, bathroom facilities and a press box.
