Lauren Doughtie Wins Twice at WSGA Amateur

Sophomore Lauren Doughtie defeated six-time North Carolina Women's Senior Champion, Patty Moore.

Sophomore Lauren Doughtie defeated six-time North Carolina Women's Senior Champion, Patty Moore to advance to the next round of the 91st Women's Southern Amateur Golf Championship being held at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C., on Tuesday, June 6. The rounds began on Monday and continue through Friday, June 9. Doughtie also won her match yesterday. Doughtie, along with now graduated Lorraine Ballerano, combined scores of 73 and 75, respectively, to win the team trophy for NC State. Senior Nancy Mountcastle and incoming freshman Kathleen Strandberg also finished with a 79 on the day.
