The NC State men's golf teams season came to an end today, after the third round of the 109th NCAA Championships in Sunriver, Oregon. The Wolfpack shot a 10-over par for the round of 18 holes, and finished the tournament at 13-over par (877). The Pack had to place in the top-15 to advance to tomorrows final round, and NC State finished in 18th place after three rounds. However, senior Stephen Lewton's career will continue for one more round on Saturday, as he was one of the top-six individuals not on the advancing teams. Lewton is currently even par for the tournament, after firing four birdies on Friday.
Junior Jerry Richardson also had a strong day for the Pack, shooting a +1-over par (73) on the day, with three birdies. Richard finished the tournament at 4-over par.
Fellow junior Garry Hill shot a +5-over par, and freshmen Darren Blair (+6) and Nathan Spoon (+10) rounded out the scoring for the Pack in Fridays round.
