NC State freshman tennis standout Shona Lee was recognized for her play during the season as an All-ACC selection, and now she is getting praise for her performance in the classroom. Lee, from Auckland, New Zealand, was one of just 10 ACC players to make both the All-ACC and Academic All-ACC team.
Lee finished the year ranked No. 114 in singles with a 13-9 record and a 6-5 mark in the ACC. She also earned ACC Player of the Week in the first competitive matches of her career.
Lee maintained her excellence in the classroom as well, posting over a 3.00 GPA in her first collegiate season to earn recognition.
