Lewton Ties For Third At Three Under

EVANS, Ga. - Stephen Lewton bounced back from a three over first round with a pair of 69s to tie for third place at three under and leading the NC State men's golf team to seventh place at at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational. The Wolfpack finished nine strokes over par at the par 72 Champions Retreat Golf Club.
Jerry Richardson shot a 69 in the opening round and even par over the final 18 holes to go one under for the weekend and tie for 7th. Nathan Spoon shot even par in the first round and fired a one over in the second, but came in plus seven. Darren Blair played two over in the last two rounds to finish nine over. Taylor Crosby also competed for the Wolfpack and Garry Hill played the tournament as an individual.
Coastal Carolina won the two-day, 54-hole, 15-team tournament at 10 under and Scott Brown from South Carolina-Aiken was the individual medalist at nine under.
