
Wolfpack Men's Golf Takes Fourth At ACC Championship

NEW LONDON, N.C. - NC State finished 11 strokes under par and in fourth place at the ACC Men's Golf Championship April 21-23 at the par 72 Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point. Nathan Spoon led the Wolfpack with a six under total, tying for sixth place individually. The freshman from Graham, N.C., followed up a first round 69 with a 67 in the second round.
Jerry Richardson and Darren Blair tied for 19th place at two under and Blair led the team in the final round with a two under score. Stephen Lewton finished two over and tied for 32nd while Garry Hill placed 40th at five over. All five NC State golfers had at least on under par round.
North Carolina and Georgia Tech tied for first place at 31 under in the 11-team, three-day, 54-hole tournament to share the league title. The Yellow Jackets' Cameron Tringale was the individual medalist at 10 under. NC State returns to action next weekend when it travels to Charlottesville, Va., to compete in the Cavalier Classic April 29-30.
