Wolfpack Has Final Tune-up Before NCAA Championships

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Mattie Bethea reached a career best 19-5.5 in the long jump for eighth place at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet Saturday at Rector Field House as the selected individuals from the NC State indoor track & field teams competed in their final tune-ups before the NCAA Championships March 9-11.
Joya Rogers finished sixth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.62 and Ebony Foster ran a 7.66 for eighth.
Mattie Bethea and Laila Thomas both cleared 5-5 in the high jump to tie for fourth place. Tabitha Woodard reached 11-11.75 in the pole vault for sixth place.
Steve Gardner ran a collegiate best 48.65 in the 400m, placing fourth and Dexter Adams took fifth in the long jump with a mark of 23-3.5.
