Sanchez Ties For Third At Rock Hill Open

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Former NC State golfer David Sanchez shot five strokes under par to tie for third place at the Tarheel Professional Golf Tour's Rock Hill Open, March 22-23. Sanchez followed up a first round 68 with a one under second round at the par 72 Rock Hill Country Club, winning $3,200. The 2005 Tarheel Tour Money Winner, Sanchez finished two strokes ahead of another former Wolfpack golfer, Chris Mundorf, who tied for ninth place at three under for $1,525 in winnings.

Also in the field at Rock Hill, was recent NC State golfer Fernando Mechereffe, who finished plus two to earn $762.50. Complete results from the tournament are available at www.tarheeltour.com.
