Lewton Tied For 2nd At Five Under

STATESBORO, Ga. - Stephen Lewton followed a one under first round with a second round 68 in the first day of the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational Saturday at the par 72 Forest Heights Country Club and is tied for second place at five strokes under par. Lewton leads the NC State men's golf team, which is in sixth place after two rounds of play at three over. The Wolfpack carded a four under second round.
Jerry Richardson also fired a four under second round and is tied for 17th at even par. Nathan Spoon shot one over in the second round and is five over. Darren Blair trails Spoon by two strokes and Taylor Crosby, who carded an even par first round, is eight over.
North Carolina leads the 15-team field at seven under and Matt Harmon from Michigan State is in first place individually at seven under. The 54-hole, two-day tournament concludes Sunday with a final round of 18 holes. Complete results, as well as live scoring, are available at www.golfstat.com.
