Birmingham, Mountcastle Shoot Par Second Round

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. - Molly Birmingham and Nancy Mountcastle both shot even par in the second round of the Lady Gamecock Classic on Saturday to lead the NC State women's golf team. Birmingham and Mountcastle both improved five strokes from the first round are tied with teammate Lorraine Ballerano for 15th place at five over. The Wolfpack shaved 12 strokes off its first round score and moved into fifth place heading into the final round at South Carolina's par 72 University Club.
Stephanie Derrey fired a one over second round, a five stroke improvement from the day before and is tied for 24th place at seven over. Jessica Vincent is also competing for the Wolfpack and Lauren Doughtie, who shot two over in the second round, is playing as an individual.
Auburn carded a two under second round taking a six stroke lead over the field of 11 at six over and the Tigers' Maria Martinez is in first place at three under.
