Pope Named All-American In Shot Put

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Mitchell Pope earned All-America honors in the men's shot put Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with a 10th place mark of 60-8.75. The Hudson, N.C., native wrapped up his junior indoor season as an All-American at the University of Arkansas' Randal Tyson Indoor Track.
Dexter Adams placed 13th in the men's long jump with a mark of 23-8.25. On the women's side, Jemissa Hess will run the 3,000m Saturday night.
