RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The NC State men's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule Feb. 26-28 at the Puerto Rico Class and beat six higher-ranked teams, including No. 13 Northwestern, No. 10 Minnesota and No. 2 Georgia Tech at Rio Mar Country Club's par 72 River Course. Stephen Lewton tied for 18th place at even par to lead the Wolfpack to a tenth place finish in a who's who field of 18 that included 16 top 45 squads, 10 top 20s and the nation's 1-4.
