Wolfpack Men's Golf Opens Spring Season In Puerto Rico

The NC State men's golf team swings back into action on Sunday as it begins the spring portion of its season at the Puerto Rico Classic Feb. 26-28 at the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. NC State head coach Richard Sykes has veterans Stephen Lewton, Taylor Crosby and Jerry Richardson in his lineup this week along with freshmen Darren Blair and Nathan Spoon.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament is played over the par 72, 6,945-yard River Course at Westin Rio Mar Country Club. An extremely talented field of 18 teams, No. 40 NC State is one of 15 teams ranked in the top 44, which includes 10 top 20 squads and the nation's top four.
