An instrumental part of the men's swimming and diving team's success this season has been the performances of the men's diving corps, in particular, Austin Hampton and Alexander Dambly. The freshmen duo has helped NC State (6-3, 5-1 ACC) post one of the best finishes in recent history. The overall record and conference mark are the best under head coach Brooks Teal. The 5-1 mark in conference was the best since 2000's 6-1 finish.
Hampton has won 12 diving events this season and has finished in the top-two 16 times. His 1-meter score of 377.60 ranks first in the ACC this season, and his 3-meter high score of 333.75 just missed the top-10 in conference.
Dambly has had a standout freshman campaign as well, with nine overall top-two finishes and four event wins. He excels in the 3-meter competition, with his 352.39 ranking seventh in the ACC.
