Cullen Jones Wins 50 Free at San Antonio Grand Prix

Former Wolfpack standout and NCAA champion Cullen Jones has done it again. Jones has continued his impressive win streak in the sprint freestyle by winning the 50 free at the 2006 Short Course Grand Prix in San Antonio, Texas. Jones swam a 19.19 in short course yards, the third fastest time in his career, at the Palo Alto College Natatorium. Jones set an ACC record with a personal best 19.07 last season in the 50 free.
Jones, a 2008 Olympic hopeful, has had a standout 2006, winning his third straight ACC championship in the 50 free, setting the ACC record, winning the NCAA Championship in the 50 freestyle, winning gold at the US National Championship and at the Pan Pac Games in the 50 free. He also helped set a world record at the Pan Pac Games in the 400 freestyle.
