Cavaday, Noblitt Stay Alive in Doubles at Polo

Tulsa, Okla. - William Noblitt and Nick Cavaday won their doubles bout on Thursday, Oct. 5, to advance further into the main draw at the 2006 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla. The Wolfpack duo got some sweet revenge against Old Dominion’s Henrique Cancado and Harel Srugo, 8-6, as the No. 52 ranked ODU pair defeated the Pack netters the previous day.
James McGee and Jay Weinacker weren’t as fortunate against James Cluskey and Ken Skupski of Louisana State. McGee and Weinacker had the No. 28 ranked pair on the ropes, up 3-6 in the match, but were undone by their youth, 9-8(10).
Cavaday, ranked No 39 nationally, lost to No. 56 Devin Mullings of Ohio State, 6-1, 6-1.
Play will continue tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 6, at the 2006 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships.
