Wolfpack Softball Releases 2007 Schedule

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State softball head coach Lisa Navas announced the team's 2007 schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The reigning Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and tournament champions will begin their quest for a repeat performance at the Carolina Classic in Chapel Hill, N.C., Friday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 11. The squad will also compete at four other challenging tournaments; The Florida Invitational, 2007 Hampton Inn Crimson Classic, USF adidas Invitational and the Judi Garman Classic.

The red and white will begin ACC play on Saturday, March 3, hosting Florida State in a doubleheader. The Pack will also welcome Virginia and rival North Carolina to Raleigh for league play. NC State will hit the road for series at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Maryland.
In out of conference work, the Pack will host Elon, East Carolina and Charlotte, while traveling to Radford, UNC Greensboro and Campbell.
The ACC Championships will be held in Tallahassee, Fla., Thursday, May 10 through Sunday, May 13.
In last years whirlwind season, the 2006 Pack edition won 50 games, collected both the ACC regular season and tournament championships, and made the NCAA Tournament field in just its third year of existence.
