Men's Golf Eliminated at Match Play

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men’s golf team fell to Washington 4-1 in the consolation bracket of the Callaway Collegiate Match Play in Fort Worth, Texas. Playing its second round of the day, the Wolfpack was eliminated from the double elimination tournament. The top-16 team from last years NCAA Championships were each invited to attend, and the Pack was invited with their 18th place finish after two teams dropped out.
On Sunday’s second round of the day for the Pack, NC State went up against No. 12 seed Washington. Garry Hill notched the Pack’s win, beating Chris Kilmer 6 and 5. Hill jumped off to a huge lead on the day, winning the first five holes and going five holes up early.
