W. Tennis Heads to Southern Intercollegiate

The NC State women’s tennis team will head to the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Columbia, S.C. this weekend to wrap up the fall tournament season. The team is being led in wins by freshman Berkeley Brock with a 12-2 record and she won 12 straight matches at one point this season. Another freshman, Daria Petrovic, has posted a 7-2 mark in singles play this fall.
NC State will send all nine players in singles, with Brock and Petrovic competiting in the top flight, A-1 Singles. Junior Julia Roach and sophomore Alejandra Guerra are in the A-2 Singles flight and sophomore Neils Barringer is in the B-1 Singles flight.
Freshman Kristen Bleakley and seniors Agustina Arechavaleta, Allison Barry and Lauren Barry are also in the singles draws.
Brock will team with Guerra in the A-1 Doubles flight, Barringer and Roach will team up in the A-2 Doubles flight, Arechavaleta and Bleakley will compete in the B-1 Doubles bracket and the Barry twins will play in the C-1 Doubles flight.
The tournament lasts Friday through Sunday.
