Weinacker Advances at ITA Regional

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Jay Weinacker won his first round bout at the 2006 ITA Mideast Regional Indoor Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Thursday, Oct. 19. Weinacker topped UNC Asheville's Rob Nunnery in straight-sets, 6-2, 6-3. In doubles play, William Noblitt and Nick Cavaday downed Coastal Carolina's Andy Caress and Simon Taylor, 8-1.

Weinacker will continue play at the event tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 20, as will teammates No. 39 Cavaday and Noblitt, both of which received first round byes in singles action.
