Men's Golf Sits in Eighth Place after Two Rounds

Raleigh, N.C. – After playing two rounds on Saturday, the NC State men’s golf team currently sits in eighth place at the Bank of Tennessee at the Ridges Tournament begin held this weekend in Jonesborough, Tennessee. In the first round on Saturday the Wolfpack fired a team score of 299, and then later that day shot a 300 in the second round, inclkuding four players with four birdies each, to finish at +23 on the day. The final round will be held on Sunday.
Jerry Richardson currently leads the Pack through two rounds, as she shot 2-over par in each round to sit at 4-over for the tournament. Close behind is Andrew Byrd, who shot a 2-over and a 3-over to finish at 5-over par thus far.
Garry Hill had a strong first round of one-over par, and in the second round shot a 5-over to put him at 6-over for the day. Nathan Spoon shot a 6-over in the first but improved with a 2-over in the second to finish at 8-over par.
