NC State Wrestlng Takes Down Appalachian State, 23-16

RALEIGH, N.C. - Obie Simpson and Garrett Cummings recorded technical falls, and NC State won six bouts Saturday as NC State defeated Appalachian State 23-16 in the first round of the NC State Duals at Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack got decisions from Joe Caramanica at 149 pounds, Simpson at 165, Ryan Goodman at 197, Jainor Palma at heavyweight and Garrett Cummings at 125. Jeremy Colbert recorded a major decision at 197 for the Pack. The Mountaineers got a pin from Scott Ervin at 157, a major decision from Terreyl Williams at 133, and decisions from Neal Martin at 174 and Ryan Scott at 141.
