Smith, Foster Earn All-America Honors

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Andy Smith took third place in the men's 3,000m steeplechase and Ebony Foster finished fourth in the women's 100m hurdles Friday night at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and both NC State track team members earn All-America honors.
Smith, a senior from Hudson, Ohio, broke the school record, which he set just two weeks ago at the NCAA East Regional Championships, by nearly four seconds to take third place with a time of 8:29.66 and becomes a three-time All-American in the event.
Foster, a junior from Lynchburg, Va., posted a time of 13.06 in the finals of the 100m hurdles.
Kristina Roth raced to an 11th place finish in the women's steeplechase, recording a time of 10:20.97.
Julia Lucas competes in the finals of the women's 5,000m Saturday at 8:10 p.m. (PDT).
