Mechereffe Takes Third At Eagle Chase Classic

MARSHVILLE, N.C. - Former NC State golfer Fernando Mechereffe finished third at the Tarheel Professional Tour's Eagle Chase Classic Friday. Mechereffe shot 70-68-69=209 at the Par 72 Eagle Chase Golf Club in Marshville, N.C. to win $2,250.
Another former Wolfpack golfer, Korky Kemp also played in the event, tying for eighth place with a 74-68-69=211 to earn $1,056.25.
The Tarheel Tour is off next week before traveling to the Sandhills of North Carolina for the Anderson Creek Open, which is June 21-23 at Anderson Creek Golf Club in Spring Lake, N.C. For complete results from the Eagle Chase Classic visit www.tarheeltour.com.
